All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.
There is nothing more utterly satisfying than watching friends of yours grow into the beautiful, strong people that you know they’re meant to be.

Like in an Indie Film
I can see you falling Like in an indie film No fear, just joy.
A sweetness that I cannot name The sunny tune swells in the background As the audience falls with you.
You tease my empathy Fresh life that I do not possess As I watch you slowly falling.
Falling, falling Falling in love Like in an indie film.
I think of You and the prose swells within me, and I cannot help but notice the disparity between You who Are, and I who am yet to be. You are Reality, and I am but an inkling in Your mind - the kind of good dream that one longs for but still fades with the morning light - hovering vapor with no substance.

You look at trees and label them just so, (for trees are ‘trees’, and growing is ‘to grow’); you walk the earth and tread with solemn pace one of the many minor globes of Space: a star’s a star, some matter in a ball...
Dear Imperial Star Destroyer,
How’s that whole “take our incredibly large ship into an asteroid field” thing working out for you?
Sincerely,
The Millennium Falcon
Dear Imperial Star Destroyer,
At least the Death Star has destroyed a planet. It’s way closer to destroying a star than you and living up to its name. What have you destroyed? Ships? Those are man made. They’re not even naturally occurring heavenly bodies. Fail, Star Destroyer.
Sincerely,
The Millennium Falcon
Dear Imperial Star Destroyer,
Have you ever really destroyed a star? No? I didn’t think so.
Sincerely,
The Millennium Falcon

Have you googled the phrase “let it snow” yet? Go do it. I promise you won’t be sorry!
I hope that the California version of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter includes a replica of the Burrow.
I am simply delighted to find that the instruments that penned the world’s greatest works of literature were moved by authors who were also extraordinarily talented intellectuals, firmly grounded in academic pursuits. The greatest works of fantasy, wonder, and love were birthed from a love and a thirst for wisdom.
I was at a friend’s wedding today. The bride and groom had their first dance to Owl City’s “If My Heart Was a House.” It was quite lovely, and I’ve always had an affinity for the song, which primed me to think well of it all the more.
“Circle me and the needle moves gracefully back and forth. If my heart was a compass, you’d be north. Risk it...

My little mashed potato volcano is leaking gravy...
One of the reality checks you must perform before you date someone is to make sure that you’re ready to love him through God and not to love God through him. He can be great and spiritual and make you believe that you’re drawing nearer to God, but if he is drawing you to God through himself, you will find yourself simply drawing nearer to his spirituality and not genuinely drawing...
Hey there, tumbl-verse. I have decided that a tumblr account will be a fun and distracting way to get myself through grad school. I have been told that the years ahead are daunting, but rewarding. Yet daunting enough that even at this early stage, I am building time wasters into my life. It seems fitting.
